  • 0. Making this dessert is really simple. The hardest part seems to be finding a suitable container that allows the ladyfingers to stand upright. I found two very large milk jugs that worked well for the purpose.
  • 1. First, prepare a 4-cup coffee maker and pour the coffee into a bowl and let it cool. Next, melt the chocolate in a double boiler with a little water and a pinch of vanilla powder, about half a teaspoon. I didn't use sugar in this recipe because there's no need; the cookies are already sweetened.
  • 2. I used gluten-free ladyfingers and a completely plant-based mascarpone made with sprouted rice and coconut oil—delicious! Once the coffee is cold, break a few biscuits in half (or leave them whole if your container is larger) and quickly dip them in the coffee.
  • 3. Start by making a layer of coffee-dipped biscuits at the bottom of the cup, followed by cream, and finally more ladyfingers. Then arrange the ladyfingers upright inside the cup. Cut off the ends to create a base, so they stay more stable.
  • 4. Continue alternating layers of ladyfingers, cream, and chocolate. Finish with a garnish of halved strawberries. Pour the remaining melted chocolate over the ladyfingers and strawberries. Refrigerate for several hours. It's even better the next day!
