Scopri come preparare churros dorati e croccanti, con zucchero e cannella. Lo street food spagnolo perfetto da gustare con una cioccolata calda!
Ingredients
- Water200 ml
- Type 00 flour140 g
- Butter120 g
- Granulated sugar100 g
- Eggs2 u (120 g)
- Corn oilto taste
- Fine saltto taste
Procedure
0. For the dough: Place the water in a small saucepan, add the sugar, butter, and a pinch of salt. Turn the heat on and melt everything, stirring. When the mixture begins to simmer, add the flour and stir with a ladle. Once it forms a ball, remove the dough from the heat. Roll out the dough and let it cool for just a minute. Add the eggs one at a time to the warmed mixture, adding the second after the first has been fully incorporated. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag with a large star tip.
1. For cooking: Heat the oil in a large pan. Once the oil is hot, begin frying the churros: drop small pieces of dough from the piping bag into the hot oil, cutting them with scissors (about 6 cm long). Fry the churros until golden brown, taking just a few minutes. Drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil. Continue in this manner until all the dough is used up. Finally, roll the churros in granulated sugar while still warm.
