Ingredients
- Dates200 g
- Almonds50 g
- Walnuts50 g
- Unsweetened cocoa powder25 g
- Fine saltto taste
Procedure
0. If the dates are too dry, soak them in hot water for about 10 minutes, then drain them well.
1. In a food processor, add the dates, almonds (or nuts of your choice), cocoa powder, chia seeds, coconut oil (if using), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and well combined.
2. If the mixture is too dry, you can add a teaspoon of water or more coconut oil.
3. With slightly damp hands, take small portions of dough and shape them into walnut-sized balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
4. If you want an extra touch of cocoa, roll the balls in unsweetened cocoa powder to lightly coat them. Refrigerate the balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
5. Once ready, serve them as a snack. You can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week.
