- Red potatoes500 g
- Cod fillet500 g
- Beer200 ml
- Type 00 flour175 g
- Fine saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Tartar sauceto taste
Procedure
0. Start by peeling the potatoes and cutting them into chips. Soak them in water to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with a cloth. Season the fish with salt and pepper and coat it in flour.
1. Fry the potatoes in hot oil (about 180°C/350°F/190°C) until golden brown on the outside. Taste one to see if it's done. Place them on a plate lined with paper towels and add a pinch of salt. Meanwhile, make the batter by mixing the beer and flour.
2. Dip the fish in the batter and then lower it into the hot oil. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot!
