  • 0. Start by peeling the potatoes and cutting them into chips. Soak them in water to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with a cloth. Season the fish with salt and pepper and coat it in flour.
  • 1. Fry the potatoes in hot oil (about 180°C/350°F/190°C) until golden brown on the outside. Taste one to see if it's done. Place them on a plate lined with paper towels and add a pinch of salt. Meanwhile, make the batter by mixing the beer and flour.
  • 2. Dip the fish in the batter and then lower it into the hot oil. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot!
