Frico croccante e filante, piatto tipico friulano a base di formaggio e patate, gustoso e perfetto come antipasto o contorno.
Ingredients
- Red potatoes500 g
- Cheese500 g
- Extra virgin olive oilto taste
- Fine saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
Procedure
0. First, wash and peel the potatoes, pat them dry, and grate them with a coarse grater. Grate the cheese using the same grater. Heat the oil in a large skillet and add the potatoes. Stir and cook over low heat for 10-15 minutes, until soft. Then add the cheese, salt, and pepper and stir well so the ingredients are evenly combined.
1. Continue cooking over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. Once the cheese has completely melted, raise the heat slightly and cook like an omelette, until a nice golden crust forms on the bottom. Then, flip the frico, using a plate or lid, and cook the other side until the same golden crust forms. Transfer the frico to a plate and serve immediately, piping hot and sliced.
