- Brussels sprouts300 g
- Extra virgin olive oil2 tablespoons
- Black pepperto taste
- Garlicto taste

Procedure
0. Remove the tough base and damaged outer leaves. Cut them in half.
1. For quicker and more tender cooking, blanch the Brussels sprouts for 2 minutes in salted water, then drain them well.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil with the garlic (if using). Add the Brussels sprouts, cut-side down.
3. Let it brown for 4-5 minutes without stirring, until a crust forms. Turn the sprouts and cook for another 4-5 minutes, until tender but still crunchy.
4. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
