  • 0. Clean the salmon fillet, if you didn't buy it pre-cleaned, by removing the bones with tweezers. Melt the butter in a large nonstick pan. Brown an unpeeled clove of garlic in it, then remove it from the pan.
  • 1. Place the salmon in the pan with the skin side up for 3 minutes, then turn it over and cook it skin-side up for another 2 or 3 minutes.
  • 2. Meanwhile, squeeze the orange, straining the juice to remove any strings and seeds. Add the orange juice to the pan. Cook with the salmon for 1-2 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced by half.
  • 3. Move the salmon to the side of the pan, then add the honey diluted in a finger of water. Add the soy sauce. Cook until the sauce thickens, basting the salmon frequently.
  • 4. Once cooked, place the salmon on a plate, accompany it with a fresh salad and serve.
